Functions of the Halal Center

Halal Certification Organizer

Acts as a Halal Inspection Body (LPH) or provides assistance in the Halal Product Process (PPH) in cooperation with the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, to conduct inspection and/or testing of product halalness.

Education and Outreach

Providing education, outreach, and training on the importance of halal products to the academic community and the wider public, including Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM).

Research and Development

Conducting research and development in science and technology related to product halalness, including new testing methods and innovations in the halal industry.

Halal Human Resource Training

Organizing training programs to develop competent human resources in the halal sector, such as halal auditors, halal supervisors, and Halal Product Process (PPH) assistants.

UMKM
Assistance

Providing technical assistance to MSMEs in the process of applying for halal certification, preparing the Halal Product Assurance System (SJPH), and enhancing business capacity.

Testing
Facilities

Providing laboratory testing services to identify non-halal substances (such as porcine contamination or ethanol content) in products.
